I am the at home mom of three girls, all adopted.  My husband, Rick, is a self-employeed tile contractor.  I home schooled my older girls for about a year and a half, then enrolled them in public school.  My oldest is almost 11 and in 4th grade this year.  She has an IEP at Johnson.  She has never been formally diagnosed but many of her behavioral and learning issues sound so much like fetal alcohol syndrome that I am almost sure that is what we are dealing with.

She has been improving much this year, and just got cut from special ed. reading, which is good in a way, but I am  not very happy about it in others.   She is still below grade level, but just improved enough to no longer qualify.  She still gets math help, and probably will for the rest of her school years.

My other two girls are almost 9 and almost 1.  My life is busy, but not so busy that I can't indulge is some support to know how better to help my oldest, and to gain some support from others who face some challenges similar to my own.
